INSIGHT
Teachers all over the world today are looking for a way to engage and inspire students whose whole life centers around their phone. In fact, smartphones are such a nuisance, many teachers simply want them banned from school. 
IDEA
In order to integrate the beloved smartphones into lessons in a meaningful way, SAMSUNG and the University of Teacher Education Zug got together to develop A TOUCH OF HISTORY.  The app transforms a wealth of biographical information about historical personalities into a smartphone interface. Students can now hold Frida Kahlo’s, Albert Einstein’s, Marco Polo’s and Alfred Escher’s phone in their own hands. To release more content, student answer relevant questions, thus turning studying history into a playful treasure hunt. 
Results
The students got quite excited about this innovative use of mobile technology. And the best any brand can hope for: The app is now an official part of the curriculum and is being expanded to include further subjects, reinforcing Samsung’s commitment to education over the long term.
